Raica Oliveira Will Ignite The Fire Within you

Raica Oliveira is a Brazilian model. She is famous for her campaigns including Dior, Calvin Klein and Valentino, and editorials in Elle, Vogue and Cosmopolitan. Raica was discovered by the same agent who discovered supermodel Gisele Bundchen Sergio Mattos.

Raica Oliveira was born in the city of Niteri, Brazil, just across the bay from the hottest peninsula in the world, Rio de Janeiro. Before becoming a model, she practiced bodyboarding. She dreamed of becoming a model since she was ten years old. Raica graduated from the Sao Vicente de Paula school in Niteroi.

Her career started in 1999, when she entered the Elite Model Look contest in Brazil. The 15-year-old stunner beat 30,000 girls for the top prize. She was sent to Nice, France, for the final international competition, where she placed second.

Raica Oliveira was christened “The Sensation” at the 1999 fall fashion shows in Paris and Milan. Her first campaign was for Christian Dior, shot by photographer Nick Knight; it appeared in the likes of Vogue and Vanity Fair. In May 2000 Raica was one of the models to appear in the Vogue USA edition’ segment Blame It On Rio.

Raica becoming one of Brazil’s most searched top models led her to be ranked in 2001 by the magazine Istoe Gente to be on of the best paid Brazilian models, earning US$300,000 for her work. Raica has rented her looks out to D&G, Ralph Lauren, Valentino, and Christian Dior. She has appeared in editorials for Elle, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire,Harpers & Queen, etc.

Raica was unveiled as a spokesmodel for the cosmetics company Lancome in 2006 and fashion laicence Punto Blanco. She then replaced top model Naomi Campbell at the Selmark Underwear Collection 2006 fashion show. She has also modeled swimwear for Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated.

In November 2010 Raica became the new face of lingerie brand Ultimo replacing Kelly Brook.
