Born on the 10th of April 1984 , Amanda Leigh “Mandy” Moore came to distinction and prominence after the release of her teen-oriented pop albums So Real, I Wanna Be with You, and Mandy Moore. She then starred the smash-hit, most-favorited, and most-touching movie of all time A Walk to Remember based on the 1999 romance novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks. Mandy subsequently branched out into films such as Chasing Liberty, American Dreamz and Saved!.

Most recently Mandy provided the voice of Rapunzel in Disney’s newest animated film, Tangled. And her most recent album, Amanda Leigh [released on May 26, 2009], has sold more than 10 million records worldwide.

Her private life, which includes relationships with tennis player Andy Roddick and with actors Wilmer Valderrama and Zach Braff as well as her marriage to singer Ryan Adams, has become the subject of media coverage.

Moore was born in Nashua, New Hampshire. Her mother is a former news reporter and her father is a pilot for American Airlines.
