Coolest Car Ever? The Limited Edition Ferrari 458 Italia by Oakley Design

The Ferrari 458 was already a disgustingly awesome vehicle when it made it’s debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2009. Like all recent Ferrari’s, the body was designed by Italian car designer Pininfarina. The 458 also featured a 4.5 L (270 cu in) V8 engine capable of producing 562 hp (419 kW; 570 PS) at 9,000 rpm. This bad boy could reach 0-62 mph in under 3.4 seconds. It’s top speed was clocked at over 325 km/h (202 mph). So, did anyone really need to tweak the 458? Not really, but thankfully, someone did.

British tuners Oakley Design – no affiliation to the sunglasses – upgraded the 458 to make it one of the sickest cars ever made.

Oakley upgraded the 458 to actually make it look even better. The 458 now has carbon fiber on it’s roof, front spoiler lip, rear diffuser, rear spoiler and covers for the mirrors and engine cover. They also increased it’s power. By revising the ECU and installing a larger air-intake box. The 458 Italia can now produce 623 bhp, originally it was 570 bhp. Torque has also been increased to 423 lb-ft (573 Nm) from 398 lb-ft (540 Nm).

The 458 by Oakley Design is so limited that only five were produced. However, demand was so high that two more rolled out. I don’t know how much it costs, but with only seven of them being made, you can be sure it’s more than any of us while every see. And, I’m sure it’s worth ever single penny.
