Tiger Woods is BACK! Finishes 3rd in Abu Dhabi

Yeah, Tiger did not dominate the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and fell behind in the final round – but you know what this 3rd place finish means to AMOG? Tiger Woods is back baby!

After years of issues on and off the course with his infidelity, his wife and his caddie – the man who changed the sport of golf forever is now back and almost on top. Sure, his finish wasn’t as pretty as it could have been. But in a world where expectations are extremely high for Tiger Woods, dominating the first couple of days at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and then getting a bit winded in the final rounds is a sure sign that with a little more conditioning; that 2012 – the Year of the Dragon, is really going to be the Year of the Tiger!

“I just felt I was a touch off,” said Woods, who can at least claim he has now been in the top three — with an unofficial victory — in his past three stroke-play events. “Obviously the ultimate goal is to win and I didn’t win. I played well enough I thought to win the golf tournament. Unfortunately I just didn’t get it done.”

Woods had made just two bogeys heading into the final round, but made three Sunday; he hit 46 of 54 greens through 54 holes, then managed to hit just five during the final round. He finished with an even-par 72.
