Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Coming to PS3!

This summer, fans of Resident Evil is in for horror thriller goodness this summer. Capcom announced that Resident Evil: Chronicles HD will be making its way to PS3 this June as a downloadable game. Gamers from Europe and North America will be able to grab a copy of The Umbrella and The Darkside Chronicles.

As posted on the Resident Evil’s trailer, both games will available as a digital download bundle in the PlayStation Store, and can be acquired individually at a later date. However, the game’s price was not disclosed.

The Chronicles HD Collection

Both games were re-mastered with stunning high definition graphics for the PlayStation 3 system. It will support the standard and PlayStation Move controls. The PlayStation Move technology will bring the game to life using, as players us the motion controller as their weapon. They can also enjoy the title using a wireless controller without the need of motion control accessory.

The game will also support single and co-op gameplay. As stated by Capcom:

Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection will offer gamers the chance to relive the Resident Evil story so far. The intense shooter gameplay from both titles is back as players attempt to survive the horror alone or with a friend in a co-op mode, earning trophies as they go.

The Umbrella Chronicles

The Umbrella Chronicles, also dubbed as Biohazard: The Umbrella Chronicles, incorporates the Resident Evil gaming experience and light gun gameplay. Considered as a gun survival game series, players will have the chance to relive the train incident, explore the mansion, visit the street of Raccoon City, and eventually end up in front of the Umbrella Corporation’s doorstep.

It exposes Umbrella Corporation’s meddling throughout the Resident Evil series and the hidden documents that reveals the organization’s secret motives and actions. It’s composed of game scenarios that recaps previous Resident Evil games, and includes the downfall of the corporation. The game will also feature eight playable characters including Rebecca Chambers, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine.

The Darkside Chronicles

Also known as Biohazard: The Darkside Chronicles, the game’s plot retells the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica stories. The player will head back to Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield’s story, as they try to escape the horrors of Raccoon City and reveal the feud between Leon and Krauser.


Resident Evil fans won’t just have their dose of horror in stunning graphic, the Chronicles collection will also allow them to relieve those zombie-blasting moments they used to love.
