After unveiling its latest Galaxy S III, Samsung has started pointing people to its Galaxy Note successor. In fact, it has rolled out its video teaser for the upcoming IFA show. The clip featured director of Wings of Desire, Wim Winders, who talked about “all the things you can do in the blink of an eye, on such a small and light thing.”

Aside from showing the tablet’s S Pen, the teaser also indicated that the upcoming Galaxy Note 2 will be revealed in Berlin on August 29.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Rumors

Prior to this, Lynn Walford of Wireless and Mobile News rounded up some of Samsung Galaxy Note 2’s leaked specs.

The rumors suggest that the upcoming tablet will be thinner than its predecessor with 5.5-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display. In relation to this, TechRadar reported that a leaked benchmark test revealed that the tablet’s screen resolution will be 1280 x 720 pixels.

It will also come with Andoird 4.04 at launch, but there were reports that users can update its operating system to Jelly Bean. Furthermore, the tablet will feature 4G LTE data access, 1.5 to 2 GB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DLNA, AllShare Cast & Play, Pop up Play, and S Pen. There were also claims that Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will feature a 2 GHz Exynos quad-core processor.

There were also claims that the upcoming tablet will have features found on the company’s latest flagship smartphone. This includes S Voice, S Beam, photo share, Smart Say, Direct Call, and Smart Alert.

Pricing and Availability

Setting the launch date of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on August 29 is an unsurprising move from the company, as rumors suggest that Apple will took the wraps off its next-generation iPhone in September. Hopefully, the Korean tech giant will bring its upcoming tablet to stores as quickly as possible.

Expectedly, the Samsung Galaxy Note does not come in cheap. After all, it is not going to be a budget device. At the moment, its predecessor costs $199.99 on AT&T with a two-year contract. Despite the competition on tablet price in the market, it is believed that the company will remain on the higher end of the scale.

On the other hand, the original Galaxy Note will receive an Android 4.1 update later this year, while the IFA Show will kick off on August 31 to September 5 in Berlin.
