Last Monday, Sony released its software update 1.8 for PlayStation Vita. In addition, the company updated its PlayStation Store for North America and Europe. It reveals the downloadable PSone Classics. As posted on the company’s support system update:

Downloading and installing the PlayStation Vita system software update will update your PS Vita system’s operating system to include the latest security patches, as well as new and revised applications, features, and settings.

Available PSone Classic Game

Sony updated its U.S. PlayStation Store today, showing nine PSone Classic titles that gamers can download on their PS Vita. These are “Arc of the Lad,” “Cool Boarders 2,” “Final Fantasy VII,” “Hot Shots Golf 2,” “Jet Moto,” “Syphon Filter,” “Tomb Raider,” “Twisted Metal 2,” and “Wild Arms.”

On the other hand, PlayStation Europe will be updated tomorrow, and it will have more than 100 PSone titles. Although the reason behind this huge discrepancy is unknown, some PS Vita users in North America reported that they were able to download many games other than the nine titles listed above.

Users can download other games on the PS3 and then transfer it over to the PS Vita. These include “Metal Gear Solid,” “Silent Hill,” “Street Fighter Alpha One,” and many more. You can check out the complete list of available PS Vita game via transfer on Reddit. However, some games, such as “Chrono Trigger” and “Spyro the Dragon,” don’t work on PS3 transfer.

Those who already purchased the mentioned titles can re-download the games on their PS Vita. As posted on the U.S. PlayStation Blog:

For those of you who have already purchased these titles, you will be able to re-download those games directly from your PS Store account or transfer them to your PS Vita directly from your PS3 at no extra charge.
