Coming on its next batch of downloadable content for Max Payne 3, Rockstar will introduce four new multiplayer maps. These include new items, weapons, and the Filhos De Ogum avatar faction. Also, the game publisher will roll out a free multiplayer weapon bonus as its way of saying sorry for some delay.

Free Chrome Weapon Bonus

The game’s Hostage Negotiation DLC, which is originally set for a summer release in North America, will become available “later this fall.” In relation to this, Rockstar will be giving away Max Payne 3 multiplayer with an all new chrome weapon bonus. Social Club members can redeem their weapons for free. As stated on their official blog:

Our apologies to Max Payne fans who’ve been waiting for this one and the other upcoming packs—we’re working hard to bring you this and all the other DLC and should have a release date to announce for this next pack very soon. As a special thank you to all Max Payne 3 multiplayers for your support and patience, look for the release of an all-new chrome weapon bonus, which will be redeemable by all Social Club members free of charge.

Hostage Negotiation in Details

The Hostage Negotiation DLC will have four distinct Max Payne 3 maps—all designed for online action.

The Club Moderno and Estadio Do Galatians will provide an “intense nightclub and stadium shootouts.” It reflects Max’s earlier dust-ups with some of Sao Paulo’s most dangerous elements, such as Comando Sombra and Cracha Preto.

Meanwhile, there are the O Palacio Strip Club and Favela Heights maps that introduce new favela territories from Max’s “descent into the gang-infested neighborhoods of the city.”

The pack will also include two new weapons: The MP4 Sniper Rifle and IA2 Assault Rifle. Also included in the pack are the Explosive Bursts for explosive booby traps, Bomb Suits that serve as a protection against explosive damage, and the Intimidation Masks that can cause slower reload time for the enemies.

Price and Availability

The pack will be available on Xbox LIVE for 800 Microsoft Points, while it is tagged at $9.99 on PlayStation Network and PC. Of course, Rockstar Pass owners can receive it (and all other future packs) free of charge.

Aside from the Hostage Negotiation pack, also coming this fall are the Painful Memories and Deathmatch Made in Heaven packs. Check out the Rockstar Newswire for more information.
