Re/Max Real Estate Agents Get Digital Business Cards via Passbook

Real estate company, Re/Max, is turning to Apple’s Passbook for iOS 6 to equip their agents with digital business cards.

As announced by digital business card maker Vizibility last Tuesday, Re/Max Regional Services is offering digital business cards to its 4,500 real estate brokers and agents. The said agents that will receive digital business cards for iOS Passbook are those based in Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Southern Ohio, and Southern Michigan.

With the help of the Passbook application on iPhone, Re/Max’s brokers and agents will be able to share their mobile business cards using a feature called “CardSense”. This will enable them to select locations where their digital business card pass can be accessed from an iPhone lock screen.

Passes featured on Apple’s handset has scannable QR code, which lets any smartphone and QR code reading app users to scan the code and get a copy of the business card. As stated by Vizibility in a press release:

This capability makes it a snap to share contact information at the office, trade shows, networking events, open houses, or anywhere else frequent, fast access to Mobile Business Card is needed. Locations are set right on the back of the Pass.

The digital business card maker claims that they are the first company to use Passbook for sharing mobile business cards. Meanwhile, Re/Max Regional Services is deemed to be the first to implement this functionality on a large scale. As stated by the real estate company’s CEO Dane Ellison:

By making it a little easier to close sales, we’re making it a lot easier for our Re/Max agents to be more successful.
