An unexpected feature was added to Twitter recently, as the micro-blogging social network announced that users can now add line breaks to their tweets.

This new feature draws mixed reactions from users, with Greg Sterling of Opus Research and Brian Blau of Gartner both stated that haiku and poem lovers will love line breaks. That’s because it would add emphasis and emotion to a tweet.
However, it is also possible that this feature might be abused. But Sterling said that Twitter will roll it back quickly if they get complaints and rants — with line breaks.
The Twitter line breaks work in the Web version, as well as in the Android and iOS apps.
