The BlackBerry 10 will now face its biggest test, as the mobile operating system becomes available in the United States through BlackBerry Z10. US is the company’s biggest market, especially when it comes to enterprise customers. Meanwhile, the US launch came over a month after the touchscreen smartphone went on sale in UK last January.

The BlackBerry Z10

Unlike the usual BlackBerry phones with physical keyboard, the BlackBerry Z10 has a 4.2-inch touchscreen. It features a handful of apps, including the recently added Delta Air Lines, Al Jezeera English, The Times, Amazon Kindle, OpenTable, and The Wall Street Journal.

In relation to this, the company said that additional apps—such as CNN, The Daily Show Headlines, eBay, Rdio, and Skype—wil be available in “the coming weeks.”

The Z10 will be available at AT&T and Verizon for $550 and $600 respectively. However, both carriers offer the smartphone with a two-year contract for $200.
