After surviving another winter, most of us can’t wait to get outside and enjoy the sun, warmer weather, and longer days. And, what better way to enjoy the spring than heading out and and sampling some delicious beer?

No matter which part of the country you live in, chances are that you’re close enough to a location that is hosting a spring beer festival. While there are hundreds of events going on throughout April and May, here are  10 spring beer festivals that you absolutely need to check out.

Sasquatch Brew Fest

On Saturday May 4th, 2013, the Sasquatch Brew Fest will go down at the Hilton in Eugene, OR. Not only does the event showcase some of the best beer from the Pacific Northwest, there’s also a homebrew contest, live music–and that it is dedicated to the memory of Glen Hay “Sasquatch” Falconer, who was the head brewer at the now-closed Wild Duck Brewery.

San Antonio Beer Week

From May 12th through May 21st, celebrate the San Antonio beer scene for a week-long of events that include the popular 5 Pint Brew Crawl, which hits some of the cities finest craft breweries, as well as, sessions on how to become a home-brewer.

Cajun Café on the Bayou Spring Craft Beer Festival

The fifth annual Spring Craft Beer Festival, located in Pinellas Park, Florida, will feature rare craft beers, Cajun cuisine, and some live jazz music on May 4th.

World Expo of Beer

On May 17th and 18th, the World Expo of Beer takes over Frankenmuth, Michigan’s Heritage Park. The state’s largest sampling of beer will feature about 300 different types of beer from around the world.

St. Louis Microfest

The St. Louis Microfest will take place in Forest Park on May 3rd and 4th. This premiere festival will feature international and craft beers throughout three separate sessions. The festival also includes plenty of food, live music, and a silent auction.

The Great International Beer Festival

The Great International Beer Festival is considered America’s largest international beer festival, with over 250 brewers on hand. The festival will be located at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence on Saturday April 20th. But with unlimited sampling, you better plan on having a designated driver or cash for a cab ride home.

Great Northern Beer Festival

Situated at the Hi-Pines Campground in Eagle River, WI, the Great Northern Beer Festival is a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and relax in the beautiful Wisconsin countryside, all while enjoying some of the top brews from the upper Midwest. The festival will take place on June 8th, 2013.

American Craft Beer Fest

The American Craft Beer Fest, held at Boston’s Seaport World Trade Center, “is the largest and most diverse celebration of American Craft Beer on the east coast,” with over 600 craft beers from over 125 brewers to sample. The American Craft Beer Fest takes place on May 31st and June 1st.

North Carolina Beer Month

While many of the spring beer festivals across the U.S. run for only a couple of days to over a week, the North Carolina Beer Month will take over the whole month of April. In fact, it pretty takes over the entire state with events planned throughout every region of North Carolina in celebration of the state’s craft breweries.

Philly Beer Week

Philly Beer Week is arguably the biggest beer-centric event in the country. This year, the 10-day long event runs from May 31st to June 9th and will feature some 250 participants with over 1,000 events scheduled.  Also, along with with tastings, pub-crawls, delicious food, and meet-the-brewer nights, this has not only become one of Philly’s most popular events, it’s one that any and every beer lover should attend.
