During a conference call last Monday, Take-Two Games CEO, Strauss Zelnick, seemed to be in a good mood. That’s because their 2K label titles such as BioShock Infinite, Borderlands 2, and XCOM: Enemy Unknown are performing well.

Aside from this, the Grand Theft Auto 5 is expected to hit the stores later this year. According to Zelnick, the fiscal year 2014 will probably be one of their best with the upcoming launch of GTA 5.

Transition to Next-Gen Consoles and New ‘Agent’ IP

Aside from the upcoming release of GTA 5, Zelnick also talked about the industry’s exciting transition to the next-generation gaming consoles. There will be a series that will make a comeback once the so-called PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 arrive.

But what’s more exciting is that a new Take-Two Games intellectual property will make a debut. As stated by Zelnick:

We also have an extraordinary pipeline of titles in development for next-generation platforms, including groundbreaking new intellectual property and release from our proven franchises.

In relation to this, there were words that Take-Two Games’ new IP will be Agent, although nothing is written on stone yet. Regardless, a handful of projects are expected to appear in the months to come before the holiday season.
