On Xbox One’s official news portal, it was reported that Microsoft will be reducing the console’s launch market from 21 to 13. As stated on the report:

Our priority is ensuring our customers get the best Xbox One experience the first day it is available. To do that, and in order to meet demand, we have adjusted the number of markets that will receive Xbox One in November to 13 markets, including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States, and New Zealand, in November.

However, the company remains committed in launching the upcoming Xbox One in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, The Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, and Switzerland next year.

The report continues to state that some factors caused the adjustment of the console’s launch market. This includes localization of the Xbox One dashboard, incorporation of the additional voice and languages, as well as building of partnerships to create applications and meaningful local content to every country.

Microsoft advises that affected market must contact their local retailer, especially if they already made a pre-order for Xbox One. In addition, the company said that those who already pre-ordered an Xbox One Day One system will receive a pack-in game with the console once it becomes available.
