Did you really think that Marvel was going to sit back and let DC steal it’s thunder? Absolutely not. As DC moves forward with BatAffleck, Marvel is rapidly heading deeper into Phase 2, which began with Iron Man 3. The sequel to Thor, Thor: The Dark World will be here shortly. And, there’s also Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy to look forward to. The most anticipated project, however, is the sequel to The Avengers.

It was announced back in July at Comic-Con that the sequel was titled Avengers: Age of Ultron. If you’re not up to speed on your comics, Ultron is arguably the greatest villain Earth’s Mightiest has had to battle. Ultron is a rogue robot created by Dr. Henry Pym, aka Ant-Man/Giant-Man, who only wants to eliminate humanity. And, he has the powers to accomplish this horrific task. As for the movie version, Ultron will be played by James Spader. An excellent choice for such a devious villain. Other than that, there really hasn’t been much else to report. Except this leaked footage.

This clip was a teaser that Joss Whedon showed lucky fans at Comic-Con. The best part of the clip is the first glance at Ultron. Which looks amazing. Hopefully, Disney won’t take the footage down. It’s never too early to generate some buzz.

Except more news surrounding Avengers: Age of Ultron to start popping up since it’s going into principal photography in early 2014, which is only a couple of months away.

In more Marvel news, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. made it’s television debut on Tuesday, September 24 on ABC. The series, which was created by Whedon himself, hasn’t exactly won a lot of people over thus far, but Agent Coulson returned. That alone, will keep fans happy and interested. If you haven’t caught the show, here’s a trailer that may or may not change your mind.

What did you think of the Age of Ultron teaser? And, did you catch Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. If so, did you like enjoy? Or, was it a disappoint?
