After teasing their Intel Bay Trail-powered 8-inch Venue Pro tablet at the Intel Developer Forum last month, Dell finally took the wraps off their Venue 8 Pro Tablet last Wednesday. Dell Vice President Neil Hand briefly showed the tablet during the IDF event, but they were able to fill in the needed information yesterday.

Dell’s Venue 8 Pro will feature an 8-inch IPS display with ten touch points and 1280 x 800-pixel resolution. It will run on Intel Bay Trail’s quad-core Atom Z3740D processor and 2 GB of single-channel DDR3/1600 memory. The tablet will also boast 32 GB of flash storage, which can be expanded up to 96 GB using a MicroSD card reader.

Moreover, the tablet will have 5-megapixel rear facing and 1.2-megapixel front facing cameras. It will be powered by an 18 Whr, 2-cell battery, which can be charged using the Micro-USB 2.0 port. The same port can be used for wired data transfers. The Venue 8 Pro will also sport a dual-band Qualcomm Wi-Fi adapter and Bluetooth 4.0 mobile broadband support.

The Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet is expected to be available on October 18 with price starting at $300.
