The Whole World Stops and Stare at Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Rosie Alice Huntington-Whiteley is an English model, an established runway strutter, a Vogue cover model in the UK and a Kanye West video star. In November of 2009, she was granted her Victoria’s Secret wings and walked the runway as an official Angel in the annual fashion show. She is more famous these days for replacing Megan Fox in Transformers 3.

Rosie was born in Freedom Fields hospital in Plymouth, Devon, England, to Fiona, a fitness instructor, and Charles Huntington-Whiteley, a chartered surveyor. In 2003, Rosie attended Tavistock College and worked as a dispatcher at Profile, a London modeling agency when a Profile agent thought she might be better off as a model instead.

She signed with the internationally recognized Women Management in 2004 and promptly appeared in a pair of magazine editorials, for ELLEgirl and Teen Vogue, soon afterward. She has appeared in advertisements for Abercrombie & Fitch, Bloomingdale’s, Clinique, DKNY, French Connection, L.A.M.B., Pepe Jeans, Shiatzy Chen, Ralph Lauren, and Top Shop.

Since 2006, Rosie has modelled for American lingerie and beauty products brand Victoria’s Secret. She made her debut with the brand in the Victoria’s Secret 2006 Fashion Show, walking the Los Angeles runway among established fashion models Gisele B√ľndchen, Karolina Kurkova and Adriana Lima.

In 2008 she was placed 6th on Harper’s Bazaar’s annual “Best Dressed List for 2008”. The following year Rosie received an Elle Style Award for 2009’s “Model of the Year”. Rosie was featured as the face of Karen Millen’s Spring/Summer advertising campaign, and was photographed by Terry Richardson for 2010’s Pirelli Calendar.

May 2010, it was announced that Rosie would be replacing Megan Fox as the female lead in Transformers: The Dark of the Moon, set for release July 1, 2011. She had previously worked with the film’s director, Michael Bay, on a Victoria’s Secret commercial.
