For all the Devil May Cry fans living or visiting the San Francisco Bay Area on January 9, you are in for some good treat. That’s because Capcom will hold a hands-on event for DmC Devil May Cry. As posted on their official website:

Live in or visiting the SF Bay area? Wednesday, January 9th at 6PM-9PM PST, we’ll be holding an exclusive hands-on session for DmC Devil May Cry. Come hang out in the Capcom office lobby with Capcom staff and get exclusive hands-on time with areas not previously demoed to the public.

Additionally, there will be amazing prize giveaways, pizza (note: please bring clothes anyway), and some excellent photo ops.

Remember that since the game is rated M, you’ve got to be 17 or older to attend on your own—otherwise you have to bring a parent or guardian. Since we have limited space in the office lobby, please RSVP by commenting here or sending me private message. If you are bringing another person or people, please let us know that as well. If we run out of room, we’ll have to turn people away, so please, please take a moment to do this. =)

DmC Devil May Cry—Vergil Gameplay

In relation to this, Capcom released a new trailer for DmC Devil May Cry. The clip gives fans a glimpse of what playing Vergil would be like in the forthcoming reboot of the franchise. Based on the video, it appears that Vergil is faster than Dante.

Akin to the Vergil from Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition, the character in the video doesn’t use any guns. However, he can teleport and has magical swords that surround him to damage the enemies. He is also set to become a playable character in the upcoming downloadable content of the game, Fall of Vergil.

Price and Availability

It was announced recently that the Fall of Vergil DLC, after the game hit the stores. The DLC will cost 720 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live and $9 in PlayStation Network. Moreover, it will let gamers play the role of Dante’s twin brother Vergil. DmC Devil May Cry’s PC version, on the other hand, will be available on January 25, 2013.
