Be Wary of Jeísa Chiminazzo’s Intoxicating Beauty

One of the world’s most promising young supermodels, Brazilian model Jeisa can be seen in campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, and Tommy Hilfiger. She  also appeared in the February 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Jeisa was born April 12, 1985, in Mucum, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The daughter of an Italian father and a German mother, she was discovered in 1998 at the age of 13 by a Brazilian actor who recommended her to a modeling agency.

She spent the remainder of the year modeling exclusively in Brazil, appearing in editorial campaigns for Elle Brazil and Toda Teen. In fact, Toda Teen was so enamored with Jeisa that they also placed her on their cover, a nearly unheard of accomplishment for a new model.

A year after first appearing the covers of local magazines, Jeisa hit the pavement running after signing a contract with IMG, the same agency that also represents Tyra Banks, Gisele Bundchen, Heidi Klum, and Rebecca Romijn.

During her first few years as an international model, she appeared in various fashion campaigns, for designers such as Emanuel Ungaro and Jill Stuart. In July 2005, Chiminazzo got her breakthrough with a Paris Vogue cover with Isabeli Fontana.

Jeisa has been featured in campaigns for Calvin Klein, Roberto Cavalli, Hermès, Armani, Karl Lagerfield, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Top Shop, Warehouse, Accessorise, and H&M. She has also appeared in the Victoria’s Secret annual fashion show as well as their catalogs. She currently lives in New York City and is best friends with fellow Brazilian model Ana Beatriz Barros.
